Question of the Day:

If people who read books on paper are called bookworms, then are people who
listen to cassette books called tapeworms?

Listen Up!

Audio books are considered to be the fastest-growing segment in the publishing industry, growing 75 percent since 1995 and representing $2 billion in annual sales, according to the Audio Publishers Association (APA).

Here are a few of my favorite things...

I have a special love for Recorded Books as a brand. Their cases seem to stand up to the most ridiculous abuse they can be put to time and time again. The art on the paper insert is often timeless and it's clear just from merely looking at the item that a great deal of talent, energy and time when into it's production - from soup to nuts. That's why they cost what they do. On the few occasions when I actually gave up on looking for a certain item to come on the market, both times it was a RB item (The Approaching Fury by Stephen Oates and Cause of Death by Patricia Cornwell).
